However, it seems Indiana isn’t ready to hand that whip over quite yet…

Speaking to People.com Harrison Ford uncovered that the Story is well underway in development for what is the fifth film in the Indy saga:

The story for the new Indiana Jones is in the process of taking form.

Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and myself are agreed on what the fifth adventure will concern, and George is actively at work. If the script is good, I’ll be very happy to put the costume on again

They better make sure that script is right!

A third film is being lined up by David Twohy (Who directed both Pitch Black and The Chronciles of Riddick) to continue the Riddick franchise featuring the star man – Vin Diesel.

Gamers will be well aware that the story of Riddick has continued through the games Escape from Butcher Bay and Assault On Dark Athena but Twohy has confirmed talks are underway speaking exclusively to BloodyDisgusting.com:

“I’ve sketched out two ideas for continuing RIDDICK, one of which Vin and I have settled in on.”

“At the studio level, it would have to be a PG-13 movie again and we don’t want to do that again. We want an R, so we are looking at the possibility of setting it up as an independent movie and selling it territory by territory and thereby keeping an ownership stake in the movie. But we’re trying to see what that would yield in this unsafe market…”

“So we’re trying to figure out what that number is and if we can make the movie that we want to make for that number. It’s a complicated formula.”

That’s a Riddick film that’ll end up being R rated (or an 18 if you live in Britain) … Awesome!!! That’s assuming that all the fans are old enough to get into see it…

Director: Dennis Lliadis

Plot: After kidnapping and brutally assaulting two young women, a gang led by a prison escapee unknowingly finds refuge at a vacation home belonging the parents of one of the victims — a mother and father who devise an increasingly gruesome series of revenge tactics

Summary: From the name you’d expect this film is some sort of Amityville type horror, a run of the mill job, but in truth its near-to-impossible to try and tag it as anything. It contains a splat of horror, a shot of thriller and the calm of a dead hindu cow. It touches tender subjects that some can find a little sickly…

The characters are all a little simple, there was never a point in the film where I felt that passionate whether they should live or die - The build for the characters just seemed non-existant. Through some of the scenes I really should have been left with a horrible image in my head leaving with my stomach on full spin. But it never got like that.

A lot of the basics were missing in this film, but there were positives in the message it brought along with a little different storyline. Your morales are questioned with would you/wouldn’t you circumstances plotted throughout, the storyline left with significant gaps to fill in with your own answers.

Potentially this could have been awesome, with a little bit of a vision change and more work into building up some tension. The story will stick out in your mind, but maybe not always for the right reasons.

It has been confirmed that Paul W.S. Anderson will return to Resident Evil to write and possibly direct the fourth film in the series – Resident Evil: Afterlife.

Milla Jovovich is set to return as Alice, along with Jason O’Mara as Albert Wesker for potentially the final chapter of Resident Evil. For those who may remember at the end of Extinction Alice threatens to hunt down and finally destroy the Umbrella corporation responsible for the original outbreak, to follow suit this film is likely to get back into a city. This time – Tokyo.

We could expect Chris Redfield and Leon Kennedy (from the games) to join Alice and Claire Redfield. Bearing in mind the films have been nothing like the excellent games (and we can only dream of the what-ifs) so its likely to be totally new.

Personally, I hope this is the end… After Apocalypse, Extinction and Afterlife what is there? Death. Thank fuck.

Director: McG

Plot: The Future begins. Skynet has destroyed the majority of humanity in a nuclear holocaust, leaving the resistance led by John Connor (Christian Bale). Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a man who’s last memories are being on death row, awakes during the war between Human and Machine to be captured by the resistance. Connor must decide whether Marcus is a threat to humanity.

Summary: I’ve come to the conclusion that Christian Bale has become the saviour of worn out franchises, because he’s done it again in this film playing John Connor. Many years ago Arnie warned us of the future, Earth becoming a hell hole, with machines that terminate roaming the lands. This film shows us the very first step of the future that we were warned of.

With the graphics available nowadays it was prime time to resurrection Terminator. Everything is filmed with a grey tint to it, giving you a deserted feeling, no life is left – only the Machines. I’m sure Worthington was genetically constructed in Hitler’s bunked to play in action sequences, he was electric from start to finish. There’s one breathtaking chase sequence between the machines with Kyle Reese and Marcus in a car, which sums up the film perfectly.

Christian Bale and emerging star Sam Worthington muscle in to help out. Bale’s performance was measured to perfection, his voice seemed somewhat forced a little too many times, but overall played the lead role great! Sam Worthington shows just why he’s being lined up to play in the remake of Clash of the Titans announcing himself to Hollywood with power and a underlying coolness.

You don’t have to know the original inside out, most of the back story is explained, whilst paying the uttermost respect to the original films, the director (McG) ensured that both Humans and Geeks were kept enthralled. For me (I’m a Geek) it dealt as much information as I needed, kept my mind ticking over as to whats going to come next!

Bale has signed up for potentially another 2 films, there’s plenty more to come, every film he touches at the moment turns to gold!

Director: Michael Bay

Plot: The Decepticons return to Earth to take Sam Witwicky prison after he learns the truth and History of the Transformers. Optimus Prime and the Autobots team up with the worlds Military to prepare for battle with the Decepticons including the Fallen.

Summary: The first film set a really high bar for the sequel to follow up on, it was a great film for all ages, despite Transformers making their name as toys and cartoons. All the original cast return to be part of much anticipated sequel.

Shia LaBeouf has a great second film playing Sam, which is expected by performances from him. The gorgeous (and sexiest woman in the world) Megan Fox also returns for that extra bit of eye candy to keep everyone happy With the introduction of new character Leo played by Ramon Rodriguez. I could not have thought of a more annoying character to be brought into this film, I really do hope he never returns. He wasn’t a great actor and should stick to some form of crappy teen film.

The storyline was weak – it just didn’t have anything satisfying about it. It was just not simple enough and therefore was a major factor of why the film ended up being a butt-numbing 2 Hours and 30 Minutes, its a long one alright.

The action sequences in this film were awesome, there’s a certain scene where Optimus Prime takes on 3 Decepticons which really is breathtaking! They move so fluid, in a human like motion it can be easy to forget that they could be a transformed truck. There seemed to be an extra element of humour added into a good third of this film, notably through Sam’s mother when they’re moving his stuff to College.

Overall its a good film, no ground is gained or lost… But a good ride to what should be a electric third film. I just wanted a little bit more thought put into the storyline, and a little bit less thought on how low Megan Fox’s top should be along with how to play the slo-mo shots of her running.

No news on who will direct… but good luck to them! Because it looks like Tom Cruise is pulling the shots on this one, and with Mr. Abrams hovering over your head you’d have every right to be under pressure.

The franchise was left with a J. J. Abrams directed Mission Impossible III. Where Ethan Hunt had his fiancée captured and killed. Could the fourth installment be a Mission too far for Ethan?

‘Deets are thin on the ground at present, but they’re targetting a 2011 release so there’s plenty of time for us to keep you updated with the progress!

Director: Todd Phillips

Plot: Comedy where three groomsmen, Alan, Stu and Phil head to Vegas with about-to-be-wed best mate Doug for a stag night that’ll never be forgotten…. or will it? The groomsmen awake the next day minus Doug, with no idea what happened the previous night, they have a race against time to find the groom before the wedding.

Summary:This film was based on a common premise, the hangover, its amazing that something this simple hasn’t been done before! The mild alcoholics among us will know very well the banter after a night out can be awesome, from attempting to walk home to getting with a minger. I wouldn’t say this film was the best representation of a hangover but its hilarious all the same.

The characters are what makes this film as good as it is, Alan reminds me of what Joaquin Phoenix could turn into if he continues to head on down the path he is taking. Stu, just a wimpy geek too afraid to let his hair down, and Phil is a bit of a bad boy. Some of the things Alan comes out with is just pure wrong, still funny of course but he’s just not all there. My favourite parts of the film are from Alan when he’s left to look after the baby they find in their Villa. Zach Galifianakis, who plays Alan, does an awesome job playing a very awkward character, some of the things he said were very subtle… A Napoleon Dynamite type creation that many people found amusing.

It was a good laugh overall, however, they needed to put more hilarious bits in the film. The was only really one point when I got to the point of being unable to breathe… They tried to make Alan say stupid but funny stuff too much too often. It toyed with the idea of being a little too far fetched, and the ending left me with a underlying tingle of Dude where’s my Car? But it saw out the storm to romp home

I reckon I could beat their adventure… Anyone want to join me? My shout!
